Sigh ... the good old days in Siemens SIPLACE. Have gotten to know some wonderful engineers and learned some important skills there. Siemens SIPLACE was my first job after graduation. I was going for a few interviews during that time, and all the companies happened to be interested considering me further for the position. However what really made me decided on SIPLACE was because I realized Siemens was intending to build a SIPLACE plant in Singapore from scratch. That really intrigued me - I wanted to understand how it was done!
Anyway, now Siemens SIPLACE has decided to close down the Singapore plant. Many of my colleagues will suffer to fate of retrenchment. Here's a photo we took during a company trip to Pulau Tioman.

What is SIPLACE?
SIPLACE (http://siplace.com/) is the name of this Siemens's department that produces machines for the electronics industry. Very niche and B2B type of business. It is famous within the industry but people outside will not likely to know.
well, it is an expected decision by siemens. I was once working in siemens and help to setup the POE DEPT. In the end i also leave the company due to the facts that i see no future in the company. I setup my company after that selling all Siplace Spare parts. www.iftasia.com .
