Yes, friends - this is really my first time!!!
I went to Sentosa Underwater World on Fri. Here's an evidence - photo of a Dugong taken with my mobile phone camera (An animal which michelle and I always talk about, hee)
By the way, this is my first time seeing this beautiful creature.
All thanks to Nicole and Casey who went with me! It was just ironic because they were supposed to be the tourist .... anyway if not for them, I think I would still be among the 0.0001% of Singapore population who have never been there. It was pretty interesting, but how I hope the tanks have been bigger - Like the one in Okinawa where Whale Sharks and Manta Rays swim.
I have always enjoyed reading and watching documentaries of marine life. Hmmm ... I think when I was young I might have even liked going to the 水族馆 more than the Zoo. Other than the long ticket queue, I would say visiting the Underwater World was quite fun for me - reading the facts of the animals (Giant Spider Crab, Nurse Shark, Arapaima, Gar, Dugong etc.) and of course seeing Casey videoing was amusing too!

Christmas
I am getting that "feeling" again. The same feeling I had during the first Christmas after I received Jesus into my life. I am feeling kind of solemn now ... or maybe even a bit of sadness because of the thoughts of God, leaving His throne of majesty, came to us as Jesus and suffered on the cross for us ... how wonderful and amazing is His love!
Anyway, here's my favorite Christmas song, a song that touches me every time I hear/sing during Yuletide:
O HOLY NIGHT
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'Til He appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O, hear the angels' voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O night divine, O night, O night Divine.
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here come the wise men from Orient land.
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friend.
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King, Behold your King.
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother;
And in His name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! O praise His Name forever,
His power and glory evermore proclaim.
His power and glory evermore proclaim.

Andy Lau Wonderful World Tour in Singapore
I was just telling Thomas that we should have been at Changi Airport to take a few photos of Andy Lau when he came last week. He was the top idol during my secondary school days ... and even now such a photo will probably create good search traffic for Phlook, hee. To my surprise, someone actually uploaded one of his concert's photo onto Phlook!

Good Week
Last week was quite a good week. Mashable followed by many other websites wrote about Phlook and drove up the traffic quite a lot.
I even got the inspiration to create a few more badges for Phlook, ha ha! Please, help Phlook grow by at least displaying the badges I have created on your blog! Grab them here.
Here are the 3 new badges I have created. Nicole even graciously allowed me to use her photo in one of the badges (michelle helped me to name it Neko ~ means 猫 in Jap)!

How? Nice? Remember to display them on your website, ok!

Stung by Bee at West Coast Park!
I went for a run at West Coast Park on Sat morning ...
Was walking through the bird sanctuary bridge and suddenly felt a sharp pain on my left ankle. To my surprise I saw a bee there and then it flew a few times around me and disappeared (probably died??). Then I saw the sting it left on my ankle and yes, I did pluck it out.
I was stung by wasp before in the forest so I didn't think this was such a big deal until that afternoon when a swell began to grow around my ankle followed by a mild fever!
Anyway, I went to see the doctor and he said my wound has probably been infected. Here's a photo I have just taken of my stung wound now (WARNING: Not for the faint-hearted!!! Especially so if you are intending to zoom at the spot where the bee stung).
